New Models of Distribution - Getting the Music Out Conference
In the musical culture of the 21st century, few things seem certain.
Record Companies speak about declining profits due to digital downloading.
Many listeners and artists welcome the changes as new opportunities.
The New Models of Distribution (May 22nd to May 24th) conference will identify and explore opportunities, innovations, and challenges posed by emerging technologies as they apply to the entire music community including new music.
While no one can claim to know what the future holds with any certainty, our panelists include individuals who are carving new paths, developing new methods and exploring new ideas.
Through these discussions, Soundstreams Canada hopes to help foster a knowledgeable, issue-oriented, vibrant community of new music and music distribution professionals.
The presentations and panels will discuss issues relating to Copyright, Unions, Technology, Broadcasting, Marketing and International Networking.
