How Do I Become A Volunteer?
1. Contact our Outreach Programs Manager at claudiaa@soundstreams.ca or at 416-504-1282.
2. Fill out a Volunteer Sign Up Form.
3. Attend an Information Session to find out what exactly is involved and to get to know our staff.
4. Get the Volunteer Info.
Travel Volunteer
Description: You are available to pick up artists from the airport, drive artists between rehearsals, or pick up production equipment.
Requirements: A valid drivers' license and car would be required. We will reimburse for mileage and parking.
Time Commitment: 2 hours
Production Volunteer
Description: You are available to assist our production team. This will include setting up and attending rehearsals, liaising with performers as needed, and keeping our production team informed if they are at another venue.
Requirements: Like to meet and interact with new people, organized, are able to move chairs and music stands.
Time Commitment: 4 hours
Backstage Volunteer
Description: You are available to be backstage during the concerts, helping to direct performers to the stage.
Requirements: Black clothing; full length black pants, long sleeved black shirt, black soft soled shoes.
Time Commitment: 3+ hours
Front of House Volunteer
Description: You are available to distribute house programmes, distributing surveys to audience members, selling CDs and other merchandise. These volunteers must enjoy meeting new people and are integral in helping our patrons have the best experience possible.
Requirements: Friendly and outgoing, not concerned about meeting and talking with a lot of new people.
Time Commitment: 4 hours
Education/Outreach Volunteer
Description: You are available to attend the educational or Outreach events, part of Soundstreams Education Program, survey attendants and report back to Soundstreams with how many participants attended and survey results.
Requirements: Organized and interested in speaking to new people.
Time Commitment: 4 hours
